Bright and early on Sunday morning, a sea of blue T-shirts competed with the mighty Arabian Sea as thousands of children participated in the annual run on Marine Drive organised in the memory of Terry Fox, a Canadian who was diagnosed with bone cancer and forced to have his right leg amputated. Seeing the suffering of other children, he ran across Canada to raise money for cancer research and called his journey the ‘Marathon of Hope’.
In its 19th year, the run was bigger than ever before. A few boys of Class 7 along with their teacher Mr. Rahul Sharma participated in this run, a non-competitive event which started from the Air India building in South Mumbai to the Marine Drive flyover and back to the Brabourne Stadium. The Campion boys also used this opportunity to remind all to vote in the BMC elections on the 21st.
